Taking flight

June 21st, 2015

Still on a blogging break, but wanted to pop in here and tell you that Katie’s bound for a little adventure!

For the first time since we brought her home from Bulgaria, she’ll be taking off in an airplane again, this time headed several states away with Daddy, Mama, Peter, and Benjamin for Daddy’s summer board meetings!

I’m hoping, but not promising, to write a wee bit of a family update sometime after we return.

In the meantime, if you have experience in the adoption world, please consider weighing in with your thoughts on the next blog post, To bond or not to bond: that is the open question.

I’m going to fly!

Safe travels family! I am glad that you are not burdening yourself with the need or obligation to update the blog, but are doing it at a pace that works for you so that you do not feel overwhelmed or too thinly stretched.

We all love the updates, have been following since before Katie came home, and have experienced ups and downs and joys and trials with your family, all because you choose to share, which you do not have to do. You have taught and because of your choosing to share, I have been able to open peoples eyes to these unknown circumstances of children like Katie and Thomas.

I’ve been wanting to say this. So thank you for not quitting, but thank you also for taking the time you need so that you do not feel that you “owe” us out here anything. Self care is important. Take care! I check in regularly for updates and am always delighted when there is one, either short, or long, or full of photos or not but am also glad you are not feeling the pressure of having to “give us” these updates when we want them, but when it works for you and your family.

    Hope that made sense, haha!!
