Worth waiting for

November 10th, 2013

Tonight, this little-big girl melted my heart into a gooey puddle on the floor by doing something she’s never done before.

She was playing in the room where I was sitting, when she sidled up next to me…

…and ducked her head up under my arm, asking clear as clear without using one word…

“Mama, may I sit on your lap, please?”

Happy four-days-shy-of-two-years with us, sweet Kate!  Lovey-girl!

2  years already?!?!?  What a beautiful moment to celebrate!
This makes me realize how patient God is with us…we might be making slower progress than we’d like…and we get so frustrated, but He is just so pleased when we make another “milestone”.  He rejoices over our little accomplishments, just as you do with your precious children.

    Isn’t He so good???

I just went back and read the posts from Katie’s first few months home. My goodness, I can’t believe how much has happened and changed for her and your family. So many blessings! Seeing the first hint of roundness in her face, seeing how she began to relax when you held her.., And my personal favorite was the video with Katie on her belly and the ball. Oh my that still makes me laugh. Her disdain for that ball was so clear! She is a cupcake and I am so glad you have shared her with us.
