Who will fight for him?

November 27th, 2013

When you boil it all down, it is simple.

Not easy.

Never easy.

But simple.

If you qualify to adopt this quiet, gentle little boy

And you take all fear out of the equation…

Would you still turn your back and walk away?

The greatest need of an orphan is for parents.

Adoption is a calling for parents.

Barton needs parents.

Today, as I write this, Barton still does not have a family.  Up until now, everyone who has seen him, who qualifies to adopt him, has said, “No.”

Only a tiny fraction of the millions of the world’s orphans are available to be adopted.

Only a tiny fraction of people in the world are in a position to commit to Barton.

Today, he still has the merest sliver of a chance to be chosen and adopted.

Who will open heart and arms to this innocent child and fight for his life?

If you qualify to adopt Barton, please don’t turn your back and walk away.

Say yes to Barton as if you were saying yes to Jesus Himself.

And the King will answer them, “Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.”

To all those who will read and share this post, who do not currently qualify to adopt, but whose hearts have gone out to Barton, thank you.  Your compassion brings this Scripture to mind~

Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.

Praying hard! (And wishing we could adopt from two countries at once…)

Catching up on the blog today after a couple weeks away and so sad to see I missed the chance to pray for this young man and share his story. Please let us know what happened :(
