A certain kind of thankful, teary-eyed laughter bubbles up within me every time I see these two young ladies.
…and twelve-and-a-half-year-old Soleil~
Because of this family.
Jim and Linda live ten minutes from us.
After my first conversation with Linda ten years ago, I hung up the phone and announced gleefully, “She and I are going to be good friends!”
This is one of those families who are over-qualified to adopt.
Mature, sensible, quietly counter-cultural, real, self-disciplined, gentle, unassuming, gifted and sensitive parents, always loving and welcoming to children.
Their walk matches up with their talk. They are a close-knit family of strength and integrity.
They have many years of experience living out a childlike trust in their trustworthy Heavenly Father.
“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, so that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.”
He sent them for these two girls.
They are going for these two girls.
It’s that simple.
If you’ve been reading here for a while, you know I’m the last person you’d want to do your fundraising for you. When God handed out the gifts, He most certainly did not give that one to me. It’s the sad truth!
But I love to connect people with each other!
So without further ado, please go meet our friends, the Herrs, through their brand-new blog. Follow along with their story from the beginning, written in Linda’s appealingly simple and open-hearted way.
Welcome these newcomers to the international special needs adoption world! Encourage them with your comments! Pass their blog on to all your friends and relations! Commit to praying this wonderful family through their adoption journey!
Then please, oh please, politely forget that I stink at fundraising, click on the following link, open up your pocketbooks and…
P. S. We love you, Herr family, we’re so excited that you’re adopting, and we’re praying for you! You have our vote of confidence! Can you believe it? God is really doing it!
