Storming the gates of heaven

April 16th, 2013

If you have been reading here for some time, you’ll remember some shocking news we received near the end of last year regarding the former director of the Pleven baby house.

You can read it here:  This battle belongs to the LORD

And here:  More to the story

The next action in the case is planned for THIS THURSDAY, APRIL 18TH.  Remember that Bulgaria is seven hours ahead of Eastern Daylight Time.

From one of our Bulgarian friends~

“The orphanage appealed the court decree re-instituting her before the High Court (last instance). The hearing is closed (not public) and it is on the 18th.

It is for the Court to decide if there are enough causes for them to hear the case in an open hearing, later. It will technically mean automatic re-institution or a whole new court procedure at the highest court instance in Bulgaria.

Please have everyone storm the gates of heaven with prayers. Even if they re-institute her, I truly can’t see her back knowing the howls it will cause in the media.  I am ready to fight…and to lose my last drop of life and blood but not allow that monster back there.”

If you have grieved for the loss of life and terrible damage of the most vulnerable of children in the Pleven orphanage, please pray for the protection of the children still waiting there.

Pray with all your might that the director who presided over this orphanage from before the fall of Communism in 1989 will not be re-instated.

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty in God for the pulling down of strongholds.”

    Praying here too.

    “Nothing of significance”…. :(
And that is how children with special needs are viewed.  I was reading about a judge shocked that the children being adopted “understood” what was happening, because one had CP and the other SB.
It will take a long time to turn the tides of ignorance. :(

    Praying

I know that the series “The Bible” on TV was produced by Hollywood, but I loved their depiction of the angels who helped Lot–big, muscular guys of all races, dressed like Roman soldiers. That’s who I’m visualizing around the perimeter of that orphanage, swords drawn! Lord, protect these children, and change this woman’s heart! Let this story touch the hearts of all who hear it, everywhere! Amen and Amen!

I am believing that, as always, our Lord will shine so brightly that all the nasty pests/aka Directors will race back into the woodwork where they belong.
I am particularly moved by the brave and selfless Bulgarian friend you quoted.  Surround her with a peace that surpasses all understanding, Lord. Because Jesus is alive, the victory has been won and I will pray that the judge makes it evident.

And to you, dear Susanna, please take care of yourself if not for yourself then for The Musser Children here and those yet to come.  Common as it may be, pregnancy is an all out effort. The body keeps score even when our minds are not.  So rest in the knowledge that nothing will happen that God can’t handle :)
