Too good not to share…

February 15, 2013 at 7:37 PM by Susanna

My friend Grace, who brought little Samantha home from Katie’s old orphanage last year, wrote a blog post titled, “I Remember.”

A little boy appears in her post who is very close to my heart.  I’ve probably written more about him in private emails to prospective parents than about any other single child, and he’s still waiting for a family.  Could you please take time to read it, pray for him, and share Grace’s post?

After having my interest piqued by an intriguing remark on a friend’s blog, I checked out the “Best of Festival” winner at this year’s San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival.

This is one we will be seeing, and we hope you do, too…

SO good to see another blogger writing about Chad.  He is in our hearts and (almost) daily prayers and his picture is on our fridge.  It’s gotten to the point that our son’s private duty nurse and any regular visitors to our home go to our fridge to see if his picture is still there and frequently ask us if there are any updates about him.  I wish there were something more we could do for this dear boy . . .
    Blessings,
    Kate

This is a beautiful redemption story.  I shared it on fb.  :)

I look at his picture and pray every night for him to find his family.

How do we see this movie?
Do you have to buy it through Vision Forum?
WOW!!  This is the 2nd movie on the orphan crisis I’ve seen in the last 2 weeks– both are heart wrenching but SOOO thankful the message is getting OUT!

Denise, we’ll have to wait until this summer to buy it, and I believe all the SAICCF films are now only available from each individual film maker. What’s the other movie you saw recently? I’d love to hear more!

I was hoping it was going to be Chad…..he is often on my mind.  What a precious young man.  Praying that his family finds him and begins the process of bringing him home soon.
How wonderful to see the delightful joy on precious Samantha’s face.  One child at a time…..coming home and finding JOY and LIFE.

    Dear Susanna,
I have been wanting to view this film as well and did not see it on the Vision Forum web-site.  Thanks for the information that it will be available this summer — yea!  I feel that it is awesome that the young man making the documentary accepted Jesus while he was filming, “The Drop Box”, PTL!
    Thanks for sharing!
    Anna

I so want to see this movie when it is available!!  I’m sure I will spend most of it crying, though!!  I so want to be able to adopt, and keep praying that our situation will improve so that we can be blessed with a child through adoption.  Unfortunately health complications and minimal funds (ended up losing our house this past year) prevents us from pursuing at this point.  I have felt a call to adopt for awhile and I believe that it is God placing this on my heart, I just am having trouble being patient for that to happen.  I know all things happen in God’s time.  :)  Just wish I knew when that might be.

That video is just stunning. Heartbreaking and hopeful all in one. The desperation of a mother as she places her child in that box…I just can’t imagine. Brings back to mind an episode of MASH, where the local orphanage has a box like that…I just Googled it and read the scene where BJ, Hawkeye, Fr. Mulcahey, and Winchester say goodbye, place an orphan in the box, shut the door and ring the bell…made me cry.
Wonderful to know there are still people who care about orphans.
