Prayer and action needed!

December 22nd, 2012

Friends, the enemy would love nothing more than to keep thousands of the most helpless of orphans behind bars in the largest country in the world.  This tragic development has blindsided me, as it has many others.

I plead with you to take a few minutes to read this post on my friend Julia’s blog, Micah Six Eight, and follow the link she provides to sign the petition.  Even if you ordinarily don’t follow links on blogs, please do it this time?  There aren’t even 4000 signatures on this petition yet, as of 10:30 pm.

Then please help to pass the word along!

And pray!

Pray that He would move on behalf of the children who will otherwise not be adopted at all, certainly not by their own countrymen, and would therefore be condemned to heartbreaking loneliness and misery.

Pray that God would show Himself mighty on behalf of these weak ones.

Pray that He would give them a hope and a future!

Tiny, emaciated eight and a half year old Ekaterina.  I first saw her on Reece’s Rainbow over a year ago, and she’s still waiting in her country. How I have longed for a family to bring her home and let her blossom like Katie has blossomed.

It hurts so much, Susanna. We felt strongly called by God to this child and now this evil law might ruin that. I am so worried, but praying so hard. Everyone pray, please!

  4. Thank you for sharing Ekaterina again, Susanna!  She is fortunate to be part of Reece’s Rainbow’s Angel Tree this year ( and she now has a grant over $1000!  Mama, she’s ready!

I almost commented a few days ago and asked you to write about this! I had been seeing it all over in Russian, but no one in America seemed to know. Now they do. Praying, praying, praying….

I signed it too. Also, is your “chip in” listed on your blog tax deductible? Thanks, Andrea

  15. Susanna says:

I am watching in incredulous fascination as the number of signatures rises each time I check the list, and I recognize three or four names on each page! I hardly know how to thank you all for standing to be counted on behalf of the fatherless children who cannot speak for themselves! Thank you for praying! THANK YOU.

  16. Susanna says:

Andrea, the Chip-In is NOT tax-deductible. There’s a link in bold directly under the Chip-In button that takes you to an explanation of how to do the tax-deductible donation. I’ll edit that to make it more clear. Thank you so much for asking!
