He shall gather them in His arms

November 5th, 2012

A little over a week ago now, a daddy traveled back home to the United States after visiting his two tiny girls on the top floor of the Pleven baby house.  This family, Scott and Lydia Rosencrants, found out that their adoption process urgently needs to be expedited.

NOTE:  Please visit their Reece’s Rainbow Family Sponsorship Page and help them raise the remaining funds fast!

Here is the link to their fundraiser auction on Facebook.

I asked Lydia to explain to us how we can be praying for them~

We knew from the beginning that our girls had severe special needs. They are developmentally infants – they don’t walk or crawl, are still in diapers, don’t have any language.

We knew that Anna (known as Marsha on Reece’s Rainbow) has hydrocephalus and needed to come home quickly for surgery.

We knew that Nora (known as Gabby) was tube-fed and that she had a small head. We knew that she potentially had a heart problem.

We knew that they were so tiny, both weighing less than our one-year-old, even though they are three and four.

But here’s what we didn’t know.

We didn’t know that Anna would fall asleep every day on her daddy during their visits. I guess she finally felt safe and loved.

We didn’t know that Nora would make eye contact with her daddy from the second visit – so amazing considering that she has been left alone in her crib for her entire life.

And then we found out something else we didn’t know and didn’t really want to know.

Nora’s heart condition is life-threatening. The doctors in her country do not expect her to survive.

So here’s what we know now.

Our girls need to come home as quickly as possible. We are asking for expedition in their country so that we can get them seen by doctors here.

And here’s what we have always known.

We serve a mighty and powerful God who loves our girls more than we could ever imagine.

So we are asking for prayer! We are asking for God’s people to hit their knees and pray for these two precious lives – two little girls who have been abandoned and neglected all their lives but who now have a family who loves them and wants them home!

Please pray for God to remove all the obstacles and bumps in the road.

Please pray that He will strengthen Nora and guard her heart.

Please pray that their caregivers and nurses will shower love on them while they wait.

Please pray that Nora will receive a baba as soon as possible.

Please pray that God will provide funding just as it is needed and in a way that brings Him all the glory!

Anna needs to come home and have a complex shunt surgery that cannot be performed in her country~

Nora needs to come home as quickly as possible for lifesaving intervention for her heart condition~

“…so much of what they have suffered could have been prevented if anyone had cared a bit about either.”
~Anna and Nora’s mama, who wrote more on her blog.

Praying friends, can we rally around this family during this very intense time?

Please do pray for Scott and Lydia.

And please pray that the Shepherd will gather their two precious lambs in His arms and carry them in His bosom.

Just as He has promised to do.

Pray, friends, pray!

These were two of the girls that I prayed would find families- and was so thrilled when their family found them.  I had not realized they were going to be sisters.  I am praying through tears for this family.

Susanna how do we find them.  Excited about your news we have been busy trying to get a court date for our still no court date but praying in Dec. Very sad that we are not going to get it completed by Dec 31 but knowing God still has a plan.  Blessings to you all. AnneP
