Could you take a second look, please?

October 6th, 2012

Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed!

After publishing yesterday’s blog post, titled, “What can I do to help?” I became aware that a few more Pleven families are currently in need of some extra fundraising help.

They are now added in to that post.  Please don’t miss reading about them, and the many avenues available for helping them!

In addition, the Booth family, who I wrote about yesterday, is now fully funded, thank the Lord!  They are now collecting funds to replace the Pleven orphanage van, and have raised almost $1000 of the approximately $2500 it will take to buy another van.  This is so doable, friends!  Let’s get this job done!   The Booth’s blog

Frankly, we stink at fundraising, but we would dearly love to see these funds go up!  Could any of you bless these families by sharing with them as generously as you can, and by sharing the following post?

What can I do to help?

It is a truly wondrous thing to watch the ever-growing team of people that is gathering around the children in Pleven and elsewhere, and the parents who are bringing them home.  This is just how God designed it to work, everyone lovingly and diligently doing the part that He puts before them to do.

And seeing Him use all of us together to do what He does best–redeem helpless lives for His glory–is beautiful beyond words.

I am not technically minded, but is it possible for you to add a “share” button to your blog posts for Facebook, and such? I have copied and pasted a link a couple times, but it never works quite right and I want to make sure people can also find you diretly, especially for posts like these or fundraising posts….I would love to share these more easily with people…

Lisa, thanks for asking! My oldest son, Joseph, made it possible to share posts, but the button doesn’t show up if you get to the blog by using the plain link–

You have to click on the title of an individual post to bring up just that post, and then at the bottom of that post there will be share buttons. So, for instance, here’s the link to the most recent post, and at the bottom will be the share buttons–

    Does that make sense?

Yes, that was very helpful! How handy!
