Prayers and comments wanted!

July 19th, 2012

Do you remember the following prayer request, which I sent out at the end of May?

“I received an email with news that could possibly mean something wonderful and far-reaching.  It is also something that the enemy will resist with all his strength.  So I am compelled to come to you, asking if you would be willing to pray fervently without knowing any more details, perhaps for a long time.  Perhaps some of you will also fast as well as pray.

Pray fervently that a huge, high, heavy door that is cracking open will swing wide.  Pray with confidence in the goodness of the God who is our only hope!”

If you have prayed for this request, I want you to know that God has begun to answer.

There is a certain soldier on the front lines who faced a daunting duty in this field of battle recently.  Just before entering the fight, this soldier went back to that blog post from the end of May, read and re-read it, and looked at the comments.  Those thirteen comments were promises to pray fervently for this door to open wide.  The soldier was strengthened and infused with courage, and went out onto the battlefield.

Today I received news.  After the skirmish was over, the huge, heavy, high door creaked open just a little further.  Rejoice in what God has done!!

And it is crucial to keep praying tenaciously.  This battle will not be won easily or quickly!

If you are praying, and committed to go on praying, even without further information for the time being, could you please encourage this soldier with a comment to this post?

Can we let this soldier know that we will continue to pray until the victory is won?  Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Each night, we bring our prayer needs before our Father and we include this also.  We don’t have to know the story; God knows it and He knows what the need is.  Continue to be a warrior, as we will be too!

(I’m still playing catch-up from the last few busy months, so I’m sorry for not posting as much on here. Your last few posts have been amazing, by the way! Would you mind if I link to them on our adoption blog? I have a post that’s been simmering in my mind for months that follows a similar path, and you are so much more eloquent than I am.  And, I’m going private soon for while we travel- I’ll add you if you like! :) God bless you and your amazing family, sweet sister!!!
