Oh the last video!  I just love it.  From a starving, shell of a child to a glowing, laughing girl playing on the floor with her brothers :)  Shows us all what love can do.

Another question- who has taught your children to play piano like that??? Do you have them all in lessons?

Happy new year, Katie and family!  Before we rang in the new year I already knew I’d been blessed – by finding your story – but today brought some of the best news and memories I’ve ever had (blogged about it a little)… 2012 is already off to a great start.  I can’t wait to watch your little ones grow and change and LAUGH!  Those little laughs are just precious!  Love you all, even though I’ve never even met you.  :)

  17. Rachel M says:

I have watched all  the videos several times, especially the last one!  my sweet 4yo girl said she really wants to go to Katie’s house to play with her on the floor! The girls pray for Katerina, Lina and Kolina every nite, they love keeping up with the blog with me. A praise! My husband actually shared Katie’s story today with a friend and told him we were considering adopting in the future! Maybe special needs! Only a miracle from our precious savior could have done that!

  18. Stori says:

Her laughter is beautiful music to my ears! Thank you for sharing.

  19. Jamie Garcia says:

Very slow internet connection from the boonies :D

hugs and prayers to you all.
PS: VERY cool tile on your floor!

  20. Holly says:

Just making it over after spending most of the day taking down Christmas decorations.  It is always so much more fun putting them up…lol.

Oh how Katie’s laugh is just so contagious and beautiful!!  I giggled with her!    I love seeing her rolling around having a great time!

Her brothers look like such big helpers!  They will be the best brothers a girl could ever ask for!!

  21. Laura Gilmour says:

She is an absolutely adorable little girl with a beautiful laugh. When watching that video, I just wanted to snatch her up off the floor and hug her.

  22. hana says:

I am just so glad you got her out in time. Her condition upon the arrival was appalling. I can´t believe the change in her. Wish you all the best.

  23. Heather Dawn says:

These are wonderful!!!!  I hope Katie’s Baba could see them one day.  imagine how surprised she would be to see how far she has come.

  24. Katherine Lauer says:

The final playing video is just astonishing. So much life in Katie-bird! Obviously, I always knew that the treatment of her in the orphanage was criminal, but to see how easy a fix this was–in a sense–to see her blossoming into a happy little creation of God in one measly month with a normal, loving family reveals that criminal and vile abuse done to these little ones.

  25. Susanna says:

Katherine, we have had the same thought over and over again. Especially when she gained weight after FOUR DAYS on breastmilk. FOUR DAYS, and they told us she just couldn’t gain weight and had never been over 11 pounds, although they gave her “good food.”

  26. shelly says:

Those videos absolutely made me cry. That last one with her laughing just filled my heart with joy! I pray for you guys every day, and of course for those babies still over there.

  31. Tami Swaim says:

Her laugh is truly addicting! She got me giggling!

  32. Tami Swaim says:

~Perhaps contagious would have been a better word! Unless hitting the replay button would constitute as addiction :0) Moriah will have to soon see Verity again and meet Katie. She sees them up on my monitor often!

  33. Anna T says:
