The Lord has been mindful of us…

… He will bless us. – Psalm 115:12

This is Daniel. I’m posting on behalf of Mom, who is currently flying over Europe and unable to use the internet.  Though she will be able to flesh this post out with all the amazing details after she is settled in [censored name], for now we’d like to let everyone know a few of the ways God has been blessing the journey so far:

1.  After the party of three (Mom, Dad, and a friend from our church who volunteered to drive) had arrived at Philadelphia, they were supposed to meet the nurse before proceeding to the flight.  He had CHOP’s PR camera to give them, and they had a couple of boxes and a pillow to give him, which they could not take to Katie’s country with them!  They had been at the curbside long enough, and they had not seen a trace of the nurse.  Added to this predicament was the fact that they did not have the nurse’s cell phone number, and could not contact him.  Asking God for direction, Dad and Mom waited on the curbside and our friend drove off in search of the nurse, saying, “I’ll find him.”  He found Adam and his wife Amy within minutes, in another terminal, and they were able to make their exchanges and pray together before saying goodbye.

2.  They had been planning on two flight changes between Philadelphia to [censored name]: Philadelphia to Boston, Boston to Frankfurt, and Frankfurt to [censored name].  The stop at Boston was for economical purposes; it would have been more expensive to fly directly from Philadelphia to Frankfurt. However, the flight to Boston was cancelled this morning due to fog.  In lieu of the cancelled flight, they were offered a flight directly from Philadelphia to Frankfurt for the same price.

3.  They had packed four pieces of luggage, two of which would be free of charge with two passengers.  Their travel agent told them to ask about the possibility that they would waive the fee for the one suitcase which was packed full of orphanage donations.  When the person-in-charge heard about the purpose of the flight, she decided to waive all luggage fees.

As you have been extremely careful in the past (and even in part of this post) I thought you should know that I think you slipped up and mentioned the country-that-must-not-be-named here.

I am holding your family in my heart and in my thoughts throughout this journey. (and you are welcome to delete this comment, but I hope you read it)

Her livin testimony will change lives everywhere!!
