Guest Post from Anonymous Sister in Christ

November 3rd, 2011

Dear Fellow Prayer Warriors,

Hasn’t the Lord done a wonderful thing in and through Katie’s adoption?

I know that so many of you have been faithfully praying for Katie throughout this process, but the Lord has prompted me to get a group of people together to lift Katie up in prayer for her entire flight back to the States.  As we know, the traveling is probably going to be very traumatic for Katie as well as Susanna, Joe, and Adam Boroughs (the nurse who has volunteered to travel with them) as they try to stabilize Katie and meet her needs.  So, I’d like to ask your help with this.

I thought that everyone who wanted to could sign up for a half-hour or hour time period during the travel home which is from 9:00 pm EST on Friday, November 18th  to 7:00 pm EST on Saturday, November 19th.  This covers the time from when the cab picks them up from the hotel at 4 am until Katie is safely settled in the PICU.

If you would pick a half hour or hour that you are going to commit to pray during this 22 hour time period and leave the time with your name in the comment section of this post, then we can all see what times are already taken so that the entire 22 hours of travel is covered in prayer.  After we have some times taken, then I will make a list that makes it easier for all of us to follow.  Thank you everyone!  It is a blessing to be in the Family of Christ with all of you!

The following is a list of more specific prayer requests that Susanna has given for their travel home:

~That Katie would be calm and stable.

~That we don’t run into delays.

~That everyone we meet along the way would be understanding and helpful when necessary.

~That we wouldn’t run into trouble getting through security or immigrations.

P. S. from Adam Boroughs~

Joe and Susanna,

I’ll be getting to you guys by Tuesday afternoon [the 15th].  Do I need to book my room at [the hotel] or does [your attorney] make these arrangements?  I am so excited for you and feel overwhelmingly at peace knowing that Jesus has booked the same travel itinerary as us (Matt 28:20b)!

P. P. S.  from Susanna~

Only one week!!!!

We did when we brought Carrington home.
