Is anything too hard for the Lord?

June 21st, 2011

Yesterday we heard some thrilling news!  We found out that there is another large family adopting a child with Down syndrome, a precious little boy named Graham!

But I’m not just passing on a happy tidbit to put a smile on your face.  I am coming to tell you that we also found out that this family will be facing precisely the same impossible hurdle with the USCIS that we did.

We were the first family ever to get through the USCIS with our particular situation, about which I cannot publicly post.  God performed a miracle before our eyes.  Suffice it to say–we are squarely outside a certain cultural box.  And so is this family.  Our minority of one has become a minority of two.

If they will be the second family to get through and receive approval, they will also need a miracle. Their home study is about to be sent to their adoption agency for review, and then on to the USCIS.  Right where we were not long ago.

Can God work another miracle?  Yes, He CAN!!

They have taken every step in faithful obedience to the Lord, and He has opened every door before them so far.  They are fully trusting in the Lord, and I quote Lindsay, “Graham is His child first and if He would like to allow us to care for him He will make it happen!”

I am asking for your help to pray them through the USCIS.  Thank you so much, friends!
