This morning, Verity’s physical therapist and I agreed that she is very, very close to getting herself to a sitting position.
She is strong enough to do it, and she needs hardly any prompts from us, but she’s just not putting all the pieces together by herself.
I guessed that within the month, at some point, we’d find her sitting, and ask each other, “Did you put her into a sitting position?” And find out that she’d done it herself!
At the end of her therapy session, she was ready for a nap, so Joseph took her up to bed while I waited for Miss Karen to write up her notes.
After Miss Karen left, I asked Joseph to go up and bring something down from the girls’ room. He came down talking about how cute she was sitting there in her crib laughing and jabbering.
SITTING??? Did you say SITTING???!!!
“Joseph, when you took her up to bed, did you lay her down or put her into a sitting position??”
“I laid her down.”
…taking the stairs two at a time…
Behold!! The child SITS!!!!!
After six months of working on belly to sitting…
She SITS!!!!! SHE SITS!!!!!!!!!!
