I cried to Him in time of need

May 27th, 2011

You know we believe that God calls us to WORK as well as to TRUST. “Trust and obey!” We may not choose between one and the other.  We must do both, simultaneously.  I prayed and took the next step just now, and…

God gave an immediate “Yes!”  He opened up a way for me to get through by phone to an important person, and that person was willing to give me an extended hearing!

Oh friends!  I have tears as I tell you…!

It looks like God might be opening up a way!  Please, please, please don’t think that means it is all settled now, so we don’t have to pray anymore!  We won’t need to get back to M—— D—– until Monday, but God can move between now and then, because He doesn’t take weekends off!  A lot more needs to happen for this way to open up, but if it does, it will stay open for other orphans and the families who are called to adopt them!

The God who made a path for His people to walk through a sea on dry ground can easily handle this one!  He is our only hope!

So many of you brothers and sisters have been standing shoulder to shoulder with us as God has moved thus far in this adoption.  Never think we are taking that for granted!  You are just as much in this battle as we are, saying “Yes,” to obeying His call as we are saying “Yes!”  Thank you, thank you for taking little Katerina into your hearts and praying so faithfully for her and for us!  I appeal to you, please keep praying!

“Oh thank Him, thank our God with me!  To God all praise and glory!”

I have been and will continue to pray for you and Katerina!!

From a song that came to mind, “God will make a way, when there seems to be no way, He works in ways we can not see, He will make a way for me, He will be my guide, hold me closely to His side, with love and strength for each new day, He will make a way, He will make a way”.

I’m even more sad I can’t see you tomorrow.  :(  Oh how I’d love to pray with you over this!  Instead, my contagious self will pray from far away…  Storming the gates of Heaven for Him to make a way!
