Power belongs to the LORD.

If you would click the sidebar link just above Katerina’s picture, the link that says, “The Beginning of Katerina’s Story,” you would read this, written six months ago…

“I wrote the following note less than two weeks ago to an online friend.  She was lamenting her small house and the great need for adoptive families for children who have been abandoned because they have Down syndrome.

‘Maybe just one child, C.  Could you fit just one more in your house?  I don’t know how big your house is, but I like thinking of the possibilities and not the obstacles.  I’ve seen God pour out money like water when He was good and ready, so I know He can do that, too.’

That online friend answered by telling me that under her current circumstances, adoption would be impossible.

At that time, adoption was also impossible for our family.

“Impossible” was true six months ago.

Money sure doesn’t look like water to us.  We have to take that on faith.

If you have clicked the sidebar link that says Our Adoption Finances recently, you already know that…

Six months later, our family has a completed home study, and nearly $20,000 of the funds we will need to adopt a little sweetie named Katerina.  God changed what needed to be changed to make adoption possible for us.

What most of you don’t know is that…

Six months later, my online friend and her husband are beginning their home study process, and already have over $20,000 of the funds they will need for their adoption of a precious little guy with Down syndrome from Eastern Europe.  God changed what needed to be changed to make adoption possible for them.

God sent most of the funds to both our families in just the last three months.

Money like water.

God has this way of making possibility out of impossibility.

When He is good and ready.

That He might make His mighty power known.

Praise the Lord!  I lost so much sleep crunching numbers for our adoption.. and poof, one day it came, in ONE pretty little check.  Granted, our adoption was quite a bit less, but He provided every cent we needed and not a cent more.
