We are convinced that God has decided to say “Yes,” to many prayers and give our family favor in this adoption process so far. There is no other rational explanation for why we would be where we are right now, when so many things could have gone wrong!
We have had smiling, approving faces turned toward us all the way through this process, with the exception of that first home study agency, which led us to the perfect agency for our family, right here in town.
All the way out to York, I was preparing myself for an unfriendly response. “Didn’t you read your paperwork? It says that members of the military are allowed to drop in, and everyone else has assigned appointments! There’s a proper process for changing your appointment time, and this is not it!”
I walked to the desk when I was called upon, showed her our papers, and explained why we were there. Yet another smiling, approving face turned toward me and said, “Of course!”
So all three of us were fingerprinted after a short wait, and the results are on their way to Missouri! We’re back to waiting for an unknown (to us!) length of time for an unknown (to us!) answer from the USCIS. Back to praying for favor with our USCIS officer!
Thank you, friends, so much, for praying on our behalf today!
Thank You, Father, for sending this very tangible encouragement.
