Sending out a quick…

March 22nd, 2011

Prayer request!

Tomorrow it will be two weeks since we priority-mailed our final information to Lifeline so that they could send in our application to the USCIS.  We’ve been tracking it online, and in fact, we have its twenty-digit tracking number memorized!   It should have taken two days, but it has not yet arrived at Lifeline.  The Birmingham post office is very large, and no one seems to know quite where this package is.  Except for God.

From my email last Friday to the social work supervisor at Lifeline~

If we find out by Tuesday that nobody has a clue as to where our package is, we will mail out a second one by FedEx.  FedExing a second packet would cost another $60 ($30 to FedEx it to you and $30 to include another pre-paid FedEx envelope). We hope this is not the case, because that packet is full of sensitive personal information, so we are praying that God will direct it to you at just the right time.

And…

…we KNOW that this is all under God’s sovereignty—He does not make mistakes!—and that helps us not to feel stressed over it!  At each step, we have to make what seems like the best choice, and trust that God is ruling over every part of every step!

God has given us complete calm, knowing that He is right now orchestrating every event to get our file to exactly the right Immigrations officer’s desk on exactly the right day.  A few of you know exactly why this is crucial!

Would you willing to pray for us as we decide what steps to take next?

And today I am praying for a sweet little muffin named Reagan, who is getting her open heart surgery as I type…

And a P.S. for Maureen A…the mystery revealed…only requires a few wisps, which is what she has up there…

…the few wisps…(and what she’s wearing today…thank you, friend. xoxo)

Praying for Reagan and your paperwork.  I remember the feeling waiting on some paperwork to arrive (our DFACS clearance from Georgia as a matter o’ fact..)  It was the only thing we were waiting for, for our homestudy to be complete.  I’m smiling over God’s perfect timing in our journey… He held us off juuuuuuuuust long enough for our Xander.

Awww!  Verity IS getting some little wisps of hair!  Get those hair ornaments ready, Katrina will be able to wear them, and will look lovely with them in her dark hair:)
Praying for the paperwork to reach its destination.
