Yes, you read that right!

December 16th, 2010

Until yesterday, the reason I kept putting off writing this adoption update was that I didn’t have anything to share with you but confused limbo, and that’s not a good gift to give one’s friends!

Then God acted, and now…!  Do I ever have something to write!!

When we began to look into adoption, we found out that our annual income fell short of the federal requirements.  It was obvious that if God intended for us to adopt, He would have to move this mountain first!

Well, guess what?

God has moved that mountain!

Although I am DYING to tell the whole amazing story on this blog, it is not advisable!  (For now!)

Part of the reason we are being circumspect is because apparently with international adoption there is often a need to be publicly circumspect!  If you know that you are a trusted friend of ours, please feel free to ask for more details!

We are currently considering a few sweeties who are listed on Reece’s Rainbow.

The first sweetie we are inquiring about would take the moving of another mountain!  We are nonetheless confident that God can move that mountain effortlessly, if He so desires!  At this point, we are praying that He will see fit to do that!

Praying…

…and…

…waiting…

…for…

…an…

…answer…

Is our family ready to move forward with an adoption?

Those of you who have adopted know that a “paper pregnancy” typically takes longer than the flesh-and-blood variety.  We aren’t ready to bring a child home to our house today.  But God isn’t asking us to do that!  Physical pregnancy is a God-given time to prepare for a biological child; the adoption process is God-given time to prepare for an adopted child.

We can see many practical reasons that God is starting this process now!

And when all is said and done, God is the One who brings the blessing of children into families–or not–and we are eagerly resting in Him!  We are confident that His plan will be perfect beyond anything we can imagine right now!  As it has been all along!

As you praise Him with us, would you also pray that God would be magnified in the eyes of all who watch Him work?

“Thy designs cause thee no fear or care of unfulfilment, they stand fast as the eternal hills.  Thy power knows no bond, thy goodness no stint.  Thou bringest order out of confusion, and my defeats are thy victories:  The Lord God omnipotent reigneth.” ~The Valley of Vision

    So exciting!!
Yes, I can definitely pray for that! May God continue to be glorified in and through you as you seek the meaning of true religion. Keep in mind: adoption is a walk of faith.
Sounds like you may already be learning that!

You posted the verse awhile back that says our God is in heaven and He does whatever He pleases! I am SO excited to see what happens. I will keep praying!

I KNOW the Lord will provide.  He did it in our lives for our adoptions, one of which was incredibly expensive.  He owns it all.  He has all the resources we’ll ever need.  He gets the glory when He moves those mountains!  That paper work during the adoption process can be enormously time consuming and tedious.  I pray everything goes smoothly and that you will see His hand in the time-line of every stage.  My heart wants to burst when I think of what is in store for you!

YEA!!!  Psalm 50:10, “…for every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills.”

God has “sold” a few cattle for you : ) !!  To God be the glory…

I’m continuing to pray for you!!  Merry Christmas!!
