Who are the real winners?!

December 17th, 2010

Another quick note to say that my friend Patti, at A Perfect Lily, has announced the winners of her first “little” giveaway!

God has already used this one “little” giveaway to raise funds for one little girl named Olga, who is listed on Reece’s Rainbow. If you click on Olga’s link, it will take you to her regular profile page.  The amount that is shown in her adoption fund is just the total that hasn’t been transferred to Olga’s Angel Tree page yet.  I know it can sound confusing, but I wanted to link to the page where it is easiest to give to Olga’s fund.  The volunteers behind the scenes have been working hard to try to keep up!

For those of you who might not click on links in blogs, I want you to SEE what God has been doing for one little girl.

In ten days, Olga’s adoption fund went from $78 to

Andrea, the director of Reece’s Rainbow, is confident that a family will be found for Olga, with such a high amount in her adoption fund!

Then God provided for Patti to be able to host another fundraising giveaway, this time for both Olga and another little girl named Kareen.  Both these little girls are scheduled to be transferred to a mental institution next month if they are not adopted.  I hope some of you will find it in your hearts to help spread the word farther!  God truly is using this effort, and it is not just words!  It is making a real, life-and-death difference!

(If you know me well, you know that on a scale of one to ten, I would be a zero when it comes to being someone to try to help raise funds!  I am not a cheerleader like Patti, and I could never be a businesswoman, because I’d rather just give things away!  So I am WAY out of my comfort zone when writing posts like this one!  Hahaha!  But maybe God can work through people like me, too!)

it’s all so overwhelming and beautiful. It’s an absolute Christmas miracle and I’m so glad we are all a part of it.
I think the old saying , It takes a village to raise a child, is so appropriate in the case of Sweet Olga, and now Kareen! The blogland village really came together on this one!
Praying for your family and your adoption endeavors!!!
The pics from your last post are priceless. Verity is a doll.
