Heard around our house…

August 21st, 2010

“She smells dee-LISH-ous!”

“She’s so light that it seems like if I let go of her, she would float and not fall to the ground.”

“We don’t mind if the house is messy.”

“I’m so glad she came to us and not to someone who wouldn’t want her.”

[Discussing the Down syndrome “mark”] “I wish there was some sort of mark on us to let other people know that we belong to Christ.  It’s too easy for us to hide.”

“Vewity is pwetty!”

“Her toes are tinier than her fingers!”

“Do they make dolls that look like they have Down syndrome?”  [Mom: “Yes, they do.”]  “Good, they would be cute.

“So we’re fringe!  That’s fun!”

“Life is more interesting since we heard about Verity’s Down syndrome!”

I agree, she is so pwetty! I want to share something, but hope it doesn’t come out wrongly. Verity is the first baby with Down’s syndrome that I’ve been blessed to get to “know”, here on her blog. When I first saw her, I could see her Down’s syndrome traits, but now I can’t. Now I can only see Verity!
