Despite what I had envisioned earlier, rest is not materializing.

Instead, it is de-materializing.

But that doesn’t make it immaterial.

Sometimes Verity wakes up hungry an hour early for the midnight feeding, which means that I feed her instead of getting sleep between those two cycles.  I do this, grateful that she is waking up hungry nowadays!

When this happens, it tells me that I will have two cycles in which to sleep before the household wakes up, instead of three.  At 1 to 1 1/2 hours sleep per cycle, that works out to 2 to 3 hours sleep instead of 3 to 4 1/2 hours of sleep.  Last night it was 2 hours 15 minutes.

In light of the fact that I cannot rest today, since baby dolly needs to have bloodwork done, would someone be willing to pray that my mastitis would heal once and for all, and that my milk supply would increase again?

And that the nurse at the clinic today will readily find a good vein on her and that a sufficient amount of her blood would flow quickly into that test tube?

And that her nasal congestion would be relieved so that she can breathe more comfortably while she is eating and sleeping?

And that the boxes of NG tube-compatible syringes would be delivered today before her NG tube opening is damaged by my using syringes that aren’t compatible with it?  (They’re the only ones we had on hand when the good one stopped functioning.)

And that I will rest content if God answers “No,” to any or all of those petitions?

Thank you, O friends!

It is certainly His will that I be gracious and not grouchy today!  I can be confident in asking for that!  May He glorify Himself by performing that small miracle!

I will!  I will!  Pray that is that God is gracious to you in answering these requests.  And that if he chooses, in his sovereingnty to answer “no”, that you will be content.  I hope you are able to catch a cat nap somewhere today!
