How we are praying for Verity

March 3rd, 2010

We are praying that I would be able to eat all that Verity needs, since the l-carnitine I am taking to keep my hyperthyroid under control is an appetite suppressant.  Heartburn has also become my faithful companion every day from mid-afternoon on.  Even without these problems, eating is never as high a priority for me as it should be.

We are praying that Verity will thrive in the womb, so that she is born at full term in good shape.  The doctors will want to put off her open heart surgery for several months if possible, to allow her to grow stronger and bigger, and they will be able to do that if she stays stable during that time.

We are praying that Verity will be able to nurse, as that would be optimal for her mouth development, which will help her with her speech later on.  The stories I have heard range from a baby with her health issues having no trouble nursing, all the way to needing to be tube-fed.

We are praying with confidence that God will guide our decisions.

We are praying that whatever God’s plan is for Verity’s life, that HE will glorify Himself through it.

We are also thanking Him for His goodness to us!  Including thanking Him for each of you who is faithfully praying for our family.  What a gift you are to us!  Thank you for surrounding us with your love and prayers and encouragement!

Precious Susanna! I’m honored to pray with and for you and sweet little Verity. I can-NOT wait to meet her.

Thank you for putting your specific prayer needs here so that we can pray that way.

We love your family and are praying for you (even little Hope! It’s SO cute!)
